Brandon Farrell's Notes

The concept of this wine started with my great friend Melinda Reed. Tasting with her for some time now, I learned that she loved crisp, clean white wines and especially aged 1st growth Bordeaux’s from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s that we enjoyed together! Quite the contrast of wines. Because of this, we wanted to create a wine we’d both love, enjoy drinking together, and share with friends.

When tasting with Louisa (Lindquist, the winemaker), I knew I had a match tasting examples of her 2022 Albariños! The final blend is from a few tanks & sites representing Edna Valley. The wine is light, crisp, showing hints of apples, quince, intense white flowers, and this salty core from the influence of the ocean on Edna Valley.

To finish off the wine, I knew that the label had to represent the intense floral notes from the wine and Melinda’s nickname “Summer Flowers”. Don’t be fooled though by the flowers; this needs to be your next choice when ordering from the raw bar!
